" I’ve been following the EV and hybrid scene in Bangladesh for a while now, and the Deepal S05 really caught my eye, especially after hearing it’s now officially available here through DHS Motors. With its futuristic design, long range, and plug-in hybrid setup, it seems like the perfect balance between something like the BYD Song Plus DM-i and full EVs such as the MG ZS EV. If you’re curious about EVs but not fully ready to depend on charging networks, the Deepal S05 Plug-in Hybrid is a smart choice. It offers the range, confidence of a petrol car, the efficiency of an EV, and a design that attracts attention. Between this and the other model they have is SO7, I’d say the SO7 is better for those who want more space and range, while the S05 feels sportier, charges faster, and is easier to handle in the city."

The first time I saw the S05, it seemed more like a sporty coupe-SUV than a regular family car. The frameless doors, flush handles, and panoramic glass roof create a premium, almost European feel. The build feels sturdy, and the paint finish looks great in sunlight. Compared to the SO7, the S05 feels more compact and athletic, which is perfect for Dhaka’s narrower roads. The SO7 has the appearance of a full-size SUV, while the S05 radiates a youthful, dynamic energy. The only downside is that the low front lip requires some care when parking near high curbs.
