Deepal S05 Plug-in Hybrid Officially Launched in Bangladesh
The Bangladeshi EV scene received a significant boost when Deepal officially launched its plug-in hybrid SUV, the Deepal S05, through its exclusive distributor DHS Autos. The launch ceremony happened on November 8 at the brand’s main showroom in Rangs Babylonia, Tejgaon Industrial Area, Dhaka.
With its modern design, improved technology, and high-end comfort, the Deepal S05 is set to make a big impact in Bangladesh’s growing new energy vehicle (NEV) market.
At the event, Shoeb Ahmed, Divisional Director of DHS Autos, said: “We are confident that the Deepal S05 will make a strong impression in Bangladesh’s NEV market. It’s the perfect blend of technology, performance, and premium comfort for young, tech-savvy customers.”

Powertrain & Performance
Under the hood, the S05 has a 4-cylinder, 16-valve VVT plug-in hybrid (PHEV) engine along with an electric motor that together produce 160/218 HP and 320 Nm of torque. It runs on a 27.28 kWh battery, which, when combined with a full tank of fuel, can offer a remarkable range of up to 1,234 km. This makes it one of the most efficient hybrids available today according to DHS Autos.
Technology & Features
Step inside, and the cabin feels more like a tech lounge than a car. The 15.4-inch “sunflower” touchscreen display, 14-speaker sound system, and synthetic leather upholstery create a refined, high-end feel. Passengers enjoy a panoramic glass roof with an electric sunshade, rear AC vents, and a front passenger gravity seat for added comfort.
The Advanced Driver-Assistance System (ADAS), Remote Straight In & Out function, and a 540° camera view work together expecting to provide a smooth, secure, and smart driving experience.
Charging & Warranty
To make ownership easy, DHS Autos announced a nationwide charging network at 22 locations. Each buyer will also receive free home charger installation.
The S05 includes an 8-year warranty on the EV motor and battery, a 5-year general warranty (terms and conditions apply), and 3 years of free service.
Price & Availability
The Deepal S05 is available in five elegant colors: Moonlight White, Deep Space Black, Andromeda Blue, Mercury Silver, and Ganymede Grey. It’s now for sale at all authorized Deepal showrooms in Dhaka and Chattogram, priced at Tk 52 lakh, excluding registration.
