Those who know about bikes or ride them are more or less familiar with the two names: Torque and BHP. Even if you're not a biker, when talking about bikes with friends, common topics often include a bike's power or which bike has more torque. But what is this torque? What does it do? Is BHP a brand?

Many people do not know correctly about all these topics. So, today we will discuss power torque in this blog. We hope that after today, there will be no more misconceptions about motorcycle torque and BHP.

What is Bike Torque?

According to its literal meaning, torque is the measurement of how much force an object exerts while rotating. Many confuse torque with rotational speed, but power torque is about how much force an object is rotating with. We use torque in various forms in our daily lives.

When we ride a motorcycle, does it only run with the engine's help? The bike's wheels also play a special role, don't they? Torque is the power used to turn your motorcycle's wheels with the help of its engine. It is needed for the bike to move from a standstill or gain speed, in addition to turning the wheels. In short, torque is the force that helps your motorcycle gain motion.

BHP

BHP stands for "Brake Horsepower." It indicates the power generated by a motorcycle's engine. It is used to understand the power level of a motorcycle, and the more BHP it has, the more powerful the motorcycle is. People use BHP to understand a motorcycle's speed and performance.

Generally, a bike's power is the force required for the bike to move. It is generated by the motorcycle's engine and helps the bike create speed and demonstrate capability. And BHP is the unit for measuring this power.
