Has the use of fuel injection in this TVS commuter bike made it more fuel-efficient?

No doubt, the TVS Radeon BS6 has impressed me. This 110cc metro-style commuter has been well-liked by everyone. Many riders have even taken it on road trips. After being upgraded to the BS6 engine, it entered the market. So, has this upgrade made it more fuel-efficient? The answer is yes.

TVS Radeon BS6 Engine and Performance

• The main change in the TVS Radeon BS6 is the addition of fuel injection. Maximum power is now 8.2 PS (0.2 less than before). Torque remains the same at 8.7 Nm.
• Weight has increased by around 4 kg. The drum variant weighs 116 kg and the disc variant weighs 118 kg.

• Even though power has slightly reduced, acceleration has improved. Thanks to Eco Thrust Fuel Injection, the 109.7cc engine is now more efficient.

• Improved mid-range torque makes it smoother to ride in city traffic.
• The BS6 model is smoother than before. It can comfortably ride up to 75–80 km/h.
• This is a fuel-efficient bike—City FE: 73.86 km/l, Highway FE: 68.6 km/l.

TVS Radeon BS6 Ride and Handling

• The extra 4 kg does not affect handling.
• The suspension is quite comfortable, with no compromise on ride quality.

• Braking performance is almost the same and remains reliable. The disc variant will not disappoint.

TVS Radeon BS6 Ergonomics

• Suitable for riders of any height. The seating position remains unchanged.
• The soft seat is comfortable both for city rides and long trips.

This bike is available in 3 variants—Standard, Special Edition (Drum), and Special Edition (Disc).

Even though there are no major changes in this segment, it is an excellent commuter for daily use. If you buy it, you won’t have to worry about fuel efficiency.
