For a comfortable ride, it is very important that all parts of the motorcycle are in the correct place. Many riders do not give enough importance to this matter. As a result, after a short time, they experience problems such as neck pain, hand joint pain, back pain, etc. Riding in the wrong position for a long time can lead to long-term physical problems for the rider. To customize the bike parts correctly for yourself, you can first focus on the position of the motorcycle handlebars. Because if the handlebars can be brought to the correct position, then other parts of the motorcycle can also be adjusted accordingly.

Detailed Description of Comfortable Position for Motorcycle Handlebars

The ideal position of motorcycle handlebars for riders usually depends on the type of rider and bike. Sports bikes, cruisers, or commuter bikes - the position of each motorcycle's handlebars is usually different, and riders choose and purchase motorcycles according to their preferences. However, not all types of bike handlebars have a comfortable position.

For example, in the case of sports bikes, you have to lean forward significantly to place your hands on the handlebars, which some people like and others don't. However, whether liked or not, this type of riding position is never healthy. And while this position might be enjoyable in the short term, many become annoyed with this type of position in the long run.

Therefore, riders should prioritize bikes that allow for healthy riding in the long term. And as I mentioned earlier, different types of handlebars are used in different types of bikes. So, I will talk about the most commonly used type of handlebar, which is the pipe handlebar. These types of handlebars are usually seen more often on commuter segment bikes.

The comfortable position for a pipe handlebar is slightly above the rider's waist height and slightly below shoulder height. That is, when the rider sits on the bike, the handlebar should be slightly above their waist and slightly below their shoulder. Keeping it in the middle of both would be good. In this position, the rider can ride the bike for a long time. This will prevent any pain in the rider's waist or shoulders.

And the handlebar position should not be too close or too far from the body. The handlebar should be placed in such a position that you can hold it with your arms and back straight. Bending your arms to hold the handlebar can cause shoulder pain. And bending your waist to hold the handlebar can also cause pain.

Therefore, the handlebar should be placed in a position where it is slightly below your shoulders and slightly above your waist. And you don't have to bend your arms or your waist to hold it. I hope keeping the handlebar in this position will be best for your body.

Conclusion

We have explained the best riding position above. However, many riders' preferences may be slightly different. So, you can adjust the bike's handlebars according to your preference. However, when it comes to handlebar position, one's own health should always be prioritized. You can read the article to know about the correct way to shift gears on a motorcycle.
