Online Bike Registration – How to Verify Motorcycle Registration

Previously, after applying for bike registration, the only way to get updates was to visit the concerned BRTA office. But now you can verify your motorbike registration online from home. We will also learn about checking registration status online, driving license verification, and identifying fake licenses.

Motorbike Registration Process

First, you must fill out the prescribed application form along with required documents and submit it to the BRTA office. After reviewing the application and documents, if everything is in order, BRTA will issue an assessment slip for the registration fee.

Once the fee is paid, the motorcycle must be presented at the BRTA office for inspection. After inspection, the ownership and related details are entered into the BRTA information system. Then, the Assistant Director (Engineer) approves the registration, and a registration receipt, fitness certificate, and tax token are issued.

For the Digital Registration Certificate (DRC), customers will receive an SMS notice to provide biometrics (photo, signature, fingerprints). After completing biometrics, another SMS will be sent for DRC collection.

Documents Required for Bike Registration Application

1. Application form filled and signed by the owner and dealer, with 2 passport-sized photos.
2. Bill of Entry, Invoice, and L/C copy.
3. Sale certificate or proof of purchase.
4. Packing list, delivery challan, and gate pass.
5. Proof of income tax payment.
6. Work permit and visa copy if the owner is a foreigner.
7. VAT challan attested by customs office.
8. Body and seat specification drawing.
9. Receipt of registration fee payment.
10. Copy of National ID/Passport/Digital License.
11. Auction documents (if purchased through auction).
12. Inspection report from BRTA officer and seller’s documents.
