Riding a bike is one of the most enjoyable and exciting things for many people. Especially among the youth, there is a different kind of craze for bikes. Almost all the youth dream of having their own motorcycle. Being able to ride their own motorcycle on the road is a matter of pride for them.

But the problem is that while riding these bikes on the road, most of the riders forget to follow the rules of motorcycle riding. Safe braking is one of these rules.

But how many riders are aware of safe braking on their bikes? Most bikers do not know the correct and complete information about the safe braking system of their bikes.

Before learning the correct rules for using brakes, it is important to have a complete understanding of our braking system. We need to know how braking works, the effectiveness of braking and when and how to brake. Without proper knowledge about braking, we will not be able to apply the rules for using brakes correctly. So read this blog completely to learn about the safe braking system of a motorcycle and its correct use.

## Motorcycle braking system

Generally, motorcycle braking is more effective at the front than the rear. Although this varies with the position of the motorcycle and the amount of weight on each wheel, in general, the front brakes will give you much more stopping power than the rear brakes.

Up to 80 percent of your motorcycle's braking power is concentrated at the front end. However, this percentage can be even higher on sports and racing bikes. So the first thing you need to do is learn to use the front brakes more than the rear. When using your motorcycle, use the right lever more than the pedal with your foot.

## Things to do for safe braking

An important aspect of braking and stopping safely is how efficiently your motorcycle's front tires grip the road surface. In some cases, even though the brakes are powerful enough, the tires don't have enough traction to handle the pressure. The main reason for this is that the tires lose their gripping power due to repeated friction on the road over time.

However, an updated bike with good build quality should not have such a problem, at least not in dry conditions. If the braking performance of your motorcycle's front tires is not good even on dry roads, then change them. Knowing the limit of the gripping capacity of your bike's front wheels is one of the most important aspects of a safe braking system. And to understand this, after buying a bike, you need to pay attention to how the front wheels grip on different types of roads while riding it.

By riding your bike for a few days, you will get a good idea of the rear brakes of your motorcycle. Remember, you should not rely only on the rear brakes of your bike. The front brake of the bike does the main work, the rear brake assists the front brake.

If necessary, you can connect an ABS system to the tires. ABS or anti-lock braking system basically prevents the wheels from locking up suddenly and increases their traction. You will get more control in case of emergency or sudden braking.

If the front and rear wheel measurements of your bike are not correct and you use both the front and rear brakes at the same time, there is a possibility of an accident. In such a situation, using both brakes can cause your bike to skid to one side. So, you need to be careful about this and change the tires if necessary.

## Motorcycle emergency brake

The demand for bikes in Bangladesh is increasing day by day, and the number of advanced bikes is increasing. Modern bikes are being equipped with various features that make bike riding smoother and safer. Emergency brake is one such feature.

This brake is effective when the front and rear brakes are used together in an emergency. This brake is used in an emergency. This braking system works differently without disc or drum brakes . If you suddenly need to brake, if you apply one brake, the bike will either overturn or skid. That's why this brake is used.

Some bikes have a separate pedal for emergency braking, while others have the brake lever connected to the steering wheel.

I hope you have understood about the braking system and the rules of its use from our blog today. Braking is very important for driving safely on the road and keeping others safe. So everyone must pay attention to this matter.
